Where Is the Heaven After All!

And it was one of those Mid May Sunday noon! Hot as ever!

Me, my cousin and sis-in-law were off to some shopping. Strange was that. But had a reason to do that. It was indeed hot outside and we were glad to be sitting in a AC cab. Bangalore traffic was at its 'usual best'! :) No wonders.

We were inching towards the place and could not escape a stop at traffic signal. You had no choice but to gaze around. Then there I saw one of the commercial posters by a private airlines. The poster was showing a person busy looking at some book, which I guessed was a homework book, where his daughter (again a guess) was having a assured sleep in his laps. The poster depicted how the airline valued costumer's time and made sure they reached home on right time.

I was busy thinking how the person in the poster must have been feeling and there it happened.
I felt a warm grip around my hands. She was my cute niece, Srusthi, a year and half old. It was easy to understand that she had fallen asleep. Her little fingers tried to hold me and I felt her head resting on my chest. I made no efforts to move my body to make sure she is not disturbed. She was having a assured sleep in my lap. Then I went on and looked at the poster again. I had my answer right there on what it felt like.

I wanted to see her face by now but thought it would break her sleep. But the feeling was awesome. I was as much glad as the person in the poster would be. I kept my body unmoved while I was totally moved by this heavenly experience. It indeed made me forget the chaos around, our plans for the noon and myself.

We reached our station and got our work done. But the precious thing I was carrying back home was this experience.

And now I think I always have a real reason to visit my cousin's home whenever I find time. Anytime I am down and out I can look up to this little cute smiling face and get rid of the the tensions life will board on me. Where is heaven after all?

Not too far!
God bless her like he has blessed us with this gift.

Retrospecting 2010 - A Year That Was!

Hello blog,
Happy New year 2011! :)
I was thinking this for a while to write a blog sometime! And thought this can be a right chance on the beginning of new year! So here I am with this piece on things that went my way in past year 2010!

Year 2010 was a excellent year overall for me! From all fronts! Personal, Career, Family!

The year 2010 brought a new beginning in life. 31 Dec 2009 was the last day of my first company Mistral Solutions. I had put up my papers and decided to join new company. There was still a dilemma on which way to go! I had choice among a Mumbai based firm and Sasken, Hyderabad. Somehow I was worried about Mumbai and was not at ease while thinking of it. :(
After a lot of thought process decided to join Sasken in Hyderbad. The reason being, Sasken assured me to place in a Qualcomm project! I thought it would be a good choice in career perspective as there was a lot to learn in there! But there was something else written in my fate and I came back to Bangalore and was offered a Texas Instrument project! It was a milestone for me to work in TI! I did work out some new and interesting things in TI! I mate new people in TI whom I considered my idols. Paul Walmsly, Kevin Hilman, Anand Gadiyar, Santosh Shilimkar to name a few! There was a lot to learn and had a good time working there. I am still engaged with TI at the time of this post. This was first good thing to come across in the new year!

Then came my Niece Shrusthi into our life! She was the highlight of the year 2010! She was born on 17th Dec the previous year! After spending warm and caring 6 months at her home my sis-in-law was coming to Bangalore on 6th June! I knew all my worries would be going away with this little gift from my brother and sis-in-law. I can't believe she just turned a year old this year! We had a big party at home and a good family affair. We all enjoyed a lot the moments with her. We saw her screaming, uttering some alien words, her walk, her way of scaring us (buyya), her dance on waka-waka, her cute smile. Me and brother are missing her at this point as she is at our native for a break.

This was the biggest occasion to celebrate for our family - my cousin Deepak's wedding. And my biggest break from work for this family affair. I took a ten days break and enjoyed my stay with family. We had whole of our family together after a long time! Last time it was my another cousin's wedding and I had very less time as I was doing my PG and could hardly enjoy it. This time, after a 2 and half years I was happy doing what I enjoy the most, being in company of my own people. Hope to have same and even bigger fair at home coming year. You know what I mean!! ;).My new sis-in-law, Priyanka, was welcome! She is loving, caring and thats all we all wanted.

And how can I forget mentioning about my cruiser bike Avenger!!! Its indeed FEELS LIKE GOD. I had this bike and ever since have been enjoying the ride on it. Apart from being first bike I owned, it was its beauty and looks that drew me crazy about it. I mate a small accident in between causing a wrist fracture which kept me away from this beauty. But soon I recovered and having a fine time with it. Coincident was that my bike meter was reading a travel of 2011 KM on 1st Jan 2011. Hope to have smooth and safe ride in new year and also to end the lonely riding. :)

The passed Deewali was the best ever for me and my family. I felt more closer to them than ever. A good thing to add into it was my birth day which was on the same day as Deewali. Unprecedented it was. Again best birth day I could have imagined. All my niece, cousins, nephews were gathered. My father and mother were most happy and so was me. Hope to have all my coming deewalis as graceful as that.

Year 2010 saw many of my friends getting blessed with their better halfs. I attended every possible wedding of my mates. Prasad, Shailesh, Jyoti, Priti-Pranav, Kuldeep, Mohit to name few of them.

Each passing year we meet new people and some of them come with a special bond to be made with us. And yes I too made new friends in past year. Prakash Kadimane, Mohan V, Subbu, Vikram Yelavakar, Priyanka Pawar - all these made my year special with their presence around me. I was very much fortunate to have them as my friends. Thanks to all of them. I will cherish our friendship for life.

And there were things to celebrate last year. But these were the highlight of the passing year. This post will always keep these things in back of my mind and will keep me optimistic on the coming year.

I hope coming year brings lot more fun filled moments to me and all my friends and family.
Hope to write more such blogs over this year!

Happy New year 2011!
